  This place is very good but when standards slip in a posh hotel you feel badly let down. They raise expectations and so I'm unforgiving when finding fault.
  
  My photos tell the story of how great this place looks. The rooms are neat, tidy and chic. But a bit too dark for me. Too much black and grey paint upstairs. Almost Gothic and club-like.
  
  The decor is better downstairs in the bar and restaurant. Great food. I had a delicious burger and the salads are superb.
  
  But they let the side down with McDonald style chips , a kettle in the bedroom that is hidden in a cupboard and nowhere near a plug. A kettle in a hotel room is essential and even B&B's take this more seriously than Malmaison, which translates as bad house.
  
  What also irritated me was the receptionist saying the restaurant is packed and I had to book after 9pm. But they let me in at 8pm and there were loads of tables free. Either they're lying or people ate cancelling. Neither is good.
  
  It's a good hotel and I'm probably unfair to give it three stars, but my expectations go through the roof I places like this.

  Just doesn't get much better. The food was fabulous, and even though it was a very busy Saturday night, the staff were very attentive. On top of that the bill was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

  Very nice hotel. Service was excellent! Some rooms are small, but some are spacious. Located within walking distance from city center. Few bars and restaurants within few minutes walking.

  Very friendly atmosphere. We were well looked after. Staff could not have been nicer. Food was excellent and coojed to perfection. If you want a treat it is well worth a visit
