  This place is AMAZING!! It was by far the best meal we had in Scotland. The prices are very reasonable, the food was sooo good, the staff was so warm and welcoming, and the location was awe inspiring. I truly can't say enough great things. I wish I could go back again and again! It's a must on a travel itinerary to the area - cutest part of town!

  Little bit of great, little bit of so so...
  The restaurant looks beautiful, however we found there to be a lack of atmosphere (we were seated downstairs). The service was really up and down, it started good, was bad/missing in the middle, then good again, then bad again at the end (drinks with our dessert too forever)...
  
  The food was up and down as well - the starter (venison haggis) was good, and the carrot and cumin soup they give you on the house was great. The mains (a fillet steak and the guinea fowl) were so so, but the guinea fowl had very little meat, and we didn't like the dessert at all.
  
  Overall this was a disappointing experience, and expensive for what we got - I don't think we'll be going back.
